Some frequently asked questions regarding stationery etiquette:
Q. When should invitations be sent to guests and what is an acceptable RSVP date?
A. For local weddings, invitations should be sent out 8 weeks before the wedding. This will allow your guests ample time to save the date and arrange accommodation if necessary. With regards to the RSVP date, we often advise brides work against what lead time the reception venue have requested. Add a week or two onto that date to allow enough time to chase RSVP’s. For example, should your venue require final numbers 2-3 weeks before the wedding, set your RSVP date to 4-5 weeks before the wedding.
